To start her journey, Flygare was invited to Michigan by board-certified sleep doctor, Christopher Allen, MD, to attend the Saginaw County Medical Society meeting. At the September 17th meeting, Flygare shared her story and raised awareness of World Narcolepsy Day in her presentation, “When Dreams Leave the Night.” She stated that “the audience was so engaged and asked great questions.”
Later that week, Flygare traveled to Princeton, New Jersey to attend and present at the 2024 New Jersey Sleep Society Symposium. On September 21st, Flygare gave two presentations, “When Dreams Leave the Night,” and “Effecting Public Policy in the Sleep Field.”

Thank you to the Saginaw County Medical Society, New Jersey Sleep Society, and California Sleep Society for including patients and patient advocacy organizations in their meetings!
