New Narcolepsy Story: Meet Kristyn

This week, our Rising Voices of Narcolepsy Story Sharing live series continues with a new storyteller: Kristyn Beecher! On Sunday, November 22nd at 8:00 p.m. ET, Kristyn will share her narcolepsy story. Afterwards, we’ll host a live viewer Q&A.

To join us live, simply head to Project Sleep’s Facebook page at 8pm (ET) this Sunday! If the video does not show up right away, please “refresh” your browser a few times. For those unable to join live, this will be recorded and available to watch afterward on our Facebook page.

About Kristyn:

Kristyn Beecher is a storyteller and news producer from Houston, Texas. She was diagnosed with narcolepsy at age 24, but had lived with symptoms for many years before that. As a speaker with Project Sleep’s Rising Voices of Narcolepsy program, she tells her own story and hopes to let others living with narcolepsy know they aren’t alone.

What is the Story Sharing Series?

The Rising Voices of Narcolepsy Story Sharing Series invites viewers to gather online to watch a Rising Voices of Narcolepsy trained speaker or writer present their story live via Project Sleep’s Facebook page. Project Sleep is proud to offer this series every other week. At a time in which many people need connection more than ever, this will increase opportunities for people around the world to engage with and support one another.

About Rising Voices of Narcolepsy:

To improve public understanding of narcolepsy, Project Sleep’s Rising Voices of Narcolepsy program trains people with narcolepsy to share their stories through public speaking and writing with local communities, healthcare providers, news outlets, blogs and beyond. Combining the power of real-life stories with expert communication strategies, our Rising Voices of Narcolepsy trained speakers and writers are effectively raising awareness and reducing stigma for all those facing narcolepsy.
