Our Rising Voices of Narcolepsy Story Sharing live series continued on January 31, 2021 with Amanda Myers, an olympic weightlifter and future veterinary neurologist. Amanda shared her story of ambition, humor, and living openly with a narcolepsy diagnosis, and answered questions from our live audience members.

About Amanda:

Amanda Myers is a college student who splits her time between studying biology and competing in olympic weightlifting. At the age of 20, she was diagnosed with narcolepsy, and now serves as a speaker for the Rising Voices of Narcolepsy program. In her presentation, she’ll detail the symptoms most people don’t attribute to the condition and offer some perspective on de-stigmatizing invisible illness.

Project Sleep is proud to offer this series every other week. At a time in which many people need connection more than ever, this will increase opportunities for people around the world to engage with and support one another.
