Our Rising Voices of Narcolepsy Story Sharing live broadcast series continued on June 27th, 2021 with new storyteller Rebecca Heintz! Rebecca, a math teacher and musician living in Florida, shared her idiopathic hypersomnia journey and answered live audience questions.

About Rebecca:

Rebecca Heintz is a math teacher and pianist in Sarasota, Florida. She was diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia at 33 years old. As a teacher, she coaches students to strive for success and believes it’s important for all people to know about the importance of sleep and the nature of sleep disorders. As a trained speaker with Project Sleep’s Rising Voices of Narcolepsy program, Rebecca shares her story from first symptoms to a successful diagnosis and treatment plan in order to personalize her condition and help others understand it.

    Awesome me too! Rebecca I am doing well as a musician with narcolepsy too. Being a teacher is hard w narcolepsy. My mom has been doing it a long time, she has milder symptoms than me. I would love to listen to your music!
