Julie Flygare Raises Awareness of Narcolepsy on ABC News Live

President & CEO of Project Sleep, Julie Flygare, JD, appeared on ABC News Live with Diane Macedo to raise awareness of narcolepsy ahead of World Narcolepsy Day 2024. The segment took place on Friday, September 20, two days ahead of the sixth annual World Narcolepsy Day.

In the interview, Flygare described her symptoms and experience getting diagnosed with narcolepsy, stressing the common misconceptions of the disorder which often lead to long delays in diagnosis. Flygare also emphasized the importance of advocating for yourself and finding the right care if you think something is off.
