Running for Narcolepsy Scholarship (and Deep Dish Pizza!)

On September 27, 2015, Paige Graham and her boyfriend laced up to run the Chicago Half Marathon to raise funds and awareness for the Jack & Julie Narcolepsy Scholarship, the first-ever national scholarship program for students with narcolepsy.
Paige knows all too well how narcolepsy affects students. She is the oldest of three siblings, and her youngest brother, Jack, was diagnosed with narcolepsy five years ago at age 15. The adversity Jack faced inspired his family to look for ways to help other students with narcolepsy and in 2014, the Graham family co-founded the Jack & Julie Narcolepsy Scholarship with Project Sleep’s founder, Julie Flygare.
Although Paige’s family has been so generous already, she wanted to do more. After signing up for the Chicago Half Marathon, Paige created a Project Sleep Fundraising Page on Crowdrise and asked her friends and family to support her efforts.

Afterward, Paige described, “The race went really well! We weren’t rockstars with our times but we had a blast.”
For Paige, it wasn’t all about her running pace anyway. “I’m SO happy to raise money for this great cause that is dear to my family AND run off the deep dish pizza!”
With a generous heart and delicious Chicago deep dish pizza in mind, Paige kick-started our 2016 fundraising campaign with great momentum, raising $385 toward future scholarships for students with narcolepsy.
Thank you, Paige, for joining us in building a brighter future for narcolepsy!
Success! Paige and her boyfriend after the half marathon.
