Meet New Board of Directors Member, Megan Donnell!

In August 2025, Megan Donnell joined the Board of Directors of Project Sleep, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of sleep health, sleep equity, and sleep disorders.

Megan brings over 20 years of expertise as a trusted advisor to employers, specializing in employee benefits strategy and workplace well-being initiatives. As a benefits consultant, she has seen firsthand the growing recognition of sleep health as a critical component of employee wellness and engagement. Megan has dedicated her career to helping organizations support healthier, more productive teams — a passion that strongly aligns with Project Sleep’s mission.

Megan’s connection to sleep health is also deeply personal. With loved ones living with sleep disorders, she understands the challenges of navigating the long and often isolating path to diagnosis and treatment. This perspective fuels her dedication to raising awareness and fostering greater empathy for individuals and families affected by sleep conditions.

In addition to her professional work, Megan has been an active leader in rare disease advocacy through The MAGIC Foundation for over 20 years. She served eight years as the Division Consultant for Small for Gestational Age, providing guidance and support to families, and has presented “Health Insurance 101” at multiple MAGIC Foundation annual medical conventions to help families better understand and navigate the complexities of healthcare coverage. Her extensive experience bridging patient advocacy and health benefits education will be an invaluable asset to Project Sleep.

Megan has also supported Project Sleep initiatives, championing its programs such as the Jack & Julie Narcolepsy Scholarship, presenting information about health insurance on Narcolepsy Nerd: Health Insurance 101, and raising awareness and sharing resources for those living with sleep issues and sleep disorders.

“I’m honored to join Project Sleep’s Board of Directors,” Megan shares. “Sleep is something we all need, yet sleep health is too often overlooked or misunderstood. I look forward to working with this incredible team to expand the organization’s reach and shine a brighter light on the importance of healthy sleep for everyone.”
