About Elissa:

Elissa Mullins is a poet-librarian, introvert, and ailurophile from Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. She was diagnosed with type 2 narcolepsy at age 20 and is sharing her story to raise awareness and advocate for sleep health for all people. As a trained speaker with Project Sleep’s Rising Voices of Narcolepsy program, she will describe how her narcolepsy has shaped the pattern of her young adult life for the better, fomenting a fierce commitment to her art and an attitude of radical self-care.

What is the Story Sharing Series?
