Welcoming Kristen Crawford to Project Sleep’s Board of Directors!

In January 2024, Kristen Crawford joined the Board of Directors of Project Sleep, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of sleep health, sleep equity, and sleep disorders.

Kristen is the Senior Director of Engagement & Annual Giving at Broward College. She leverages 18 years of marketing and higher education experience to engage Broward College Alumni & Friends with a dynamic annual giving program. She was diagnosed with narcolepsy at the age of 35 after 25+ years of misdiagnosis.

Kristen has been involved with Project Sleep for the past five years, participating in the annual Sleep In, Project Sleep’s Rising Voices program, and the World Narcolepsy Day Committee. For the past two years, she has been the “Queen of Ambassadors,” helping provide resources to World Narcolepsy Day volunteers.

Kristen currently lives in South Florida with her husband and three adopted cats. She enjoys reading, yoga, traveling, and fostering kittens and cats in need of a loving home. Kristen is a former pageant titleholder and uses her platform to raise narcolepsy awareness. She most recently held the title of Petite Mrs. National Heart of America in 2020 and serves as a Lifetime Ambassador for American Women of Service.

As a Rising Voices speaker, Kristen shares her story with others to build awareness and help others find a quicker path to diagnosis. She found peace in receiving a diagnosis and feels encouraged and supported by the sleep community and other persons with narcolepsy. Listen to Kristen’s Rising Voices story here.

Kristen is excited to make a difference serving on Project Sleep’s Board of Directors by bringing her marketing and fundraising knowledge to the table.
