On March 5, 2019, Shannon Burkoth gave her first Rising Voices of Narcolepsy presentation to 4th-semester nursing students at Gateway Technical College in Burlington, WI.

About Shannon:
Shannon Burkoth has a background in healthcare and business and lives in Wisconsin with her husband and teenage daughter. She was diagnosed with narcolepsy and cataplexy in 2010. Now, as a Rising Voices of Narcolepsy speaker, she is sharing her story of living with this misunderstood and complicated neurological disorder.
