Event Details

“What is an invisible disability?”

The term invisible disabilities refers to the invisible symptoms such as debilitating pain, fatigue, dizziness, cognitive dysfunctions, brain injuries, learning differences and mental health disorders, as well as hearing and vision impairments. These are not always obvious to the onlooker, but are very real to the person living with them as they may impact daily activities and range from mild challenges to severe limitations and vary from person to person. The Invisible Disabilities Association (IDA) hosts the Invisible Disabilities Week each year in October. The goal of this annual campaign is to bring awareness, education, resources, and support to family, friends, co-workers, and the millions of people who live daily with illness, pain and disability around the world. The gala is an annual fundraiser that allows IDA to continue to provide great programming. Learn more: https://invisibledisabilities.org/seminarsandevents/2022-ida-awards-gala-time-to-believe/
